Having heard about this place on multiple platform sites was really looking forward to trying this. It did not disappoint. There were only two things in the salad table that were not vegan, otherwise everything was vegan. The staff was aware and helped us. Almost all of the dishes were outstanding. The black beans and refried beans - not spicy just perfectly cooked and seasoned. I went three times to have it with everything I tried. The protein, the salads, the tacos and tostadas were all outstanding. Some dishes as they were over over, new dishes were replaced making it harder for us to try everything. The food, the beverages all of it were very good. Simply home cooked type meals and reasonably priced. The staff was great and they cleaned up nicely. The inside is also very tidy. The stairs going up is a bit odd. Wish they took cards as well. All else this a very good restaurant that we are glad we tried.

I first visited Planeta Vegetariano over 20 years ago, and coming back again recently felt like reconnecting with an old favorite. The most impressive part? The food is still incredibly tasty. The menu offers a wide variety of flavorful vegetarian dishes with plenty of fresh options, all thoughtfully prepared and satisfying. Everything tasted just as good as I remembered, if not better. Multiple soups, potato soufflé, pesto pasta, garbanzo fritter. Very delicious and filling! Buffet with dessert, liked how the muffin was not too sweet. Great quality ingredients. Beyond the food, the ambience is welcoming and comfortable, the restaurant is spotless, and the staff is genuinely friendly and helpful. You can tell there’s real care put into every detail, from cleanliness to service. It’s rare to find a place that maintains this level of quality and consistency over decades. Planeta Vegetariano has clearly stood the test of time, and I’m so glad I returned. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates great vegetarian food in a warm, inviting setting.

This place is a good stop for vegetarians and foodies in general in Puerta Vallarta! Simplicity is the underlying theme here. They have an excellent selection of salads, carbs, and proteins (soy based). If you enjoy flavor and spice, they have options to satisfy that craving as well. The drinks are freshly made with local fruits, and the menu changes daily. The ambiance is quiet, and unassuming with good service. They also offer a nice selection of homemade desserts. Come with an empty stomach and leave with a full heart!

One would never expect that the best restaurant of Puerto Vallarta does not need meat on the menu to come up with flavorful, creative dishes. But after trying more restaurants than desired (given all the insipid disappointments and tiresome redundancies), I would venture to say this is truly the best deal in town. For a mere 245 pesos you can feast to your stomach’s content on over 20 dishes comprising the vast buffet here. Then you can wash it all down with refreshing exotic fruit juices and fragrant herbal teas. Some restaurants charge criminal prices for the garbage they serve. This one charges charitable prices for the wholesome deliciousness you’ll enjoy.

This really is one of the best vegetarian restaurants I’ve ever been to. They are a buffet and they have both staple dishes and rotating dishes. We come here at least twice every year on our PV visit and pig out. The location is in a great location to walk around after, near Old Town and the Malecon. The staff are pleasant and make you feel welcome. They do a breakfast buffet until 1130 and then a lunch/dinner buffet. Be sure to go twice, for each buffet! They also have fresh desserts baked. Last time was a zucchini chocolate chip muffin, always moist and delicious.

Love coming here for lunch. Was new to me about a year ago, but have been on a recent binge stopping in a few times throughout the week. I know there are already a ton for great reviews, but I want to add one more to help anyone still on the fence about trying it out, because it is important to note that I am not vegetarian and love their food. The menu is always new and interesting with deep flavors. Though I may eat too much when I go, I always feel a healthy level of full when I leave. From the great cold salad selections to the soups and main dishes, everything is delicious with distinct and unique flavors. The staff is happy to share the ingredients and let you know which foods also qualify as 100% plant-based and which contain gluten or other allergens. One thing to know is that dessert is by request, so just let a staff member know when you are ready for a sweet treat. Though all the desserts are great, a small slice of the almond-banana cake (when available) is the perfect finish.

Small, ma and pa, Vegetarian restaurant with vegan choices. They serve a buffet breakfast and lunch (lunch a bit more expensive than breakfast) that is all you can eat, including some beverages. We got there at the transition between the two setups and they offered us the fruit buffet section while we waited. Great friendly, attentive service. Wide variety of dishes that change daily. Couldn't find anything we didn't like. Price is very reasonable for the middle of the Zona Ronantica. Parking anf traffic are a bit tricky, patience helps. Would eat there again when in Puerto Vallarta. ¡GRACIAS!

This vegetarian restaurant is simply outstanding. The food is absolutely delicious, the price is fantastic, and you can eat as much as you want. Even if you’re not vegetarian, the flavors are so rich and well seasoned that it truly feels like you’re eating meat. The service is exceptional, and the staff is genuinely warm and friendly. On top of that, the location is perfect close to everything in Puerto Vallarta. If you’re in town, this is the ideal place to enjoy a satisfying, flavorful meal. Highly recommended.
